When Burger King announced it would start selling hot dogs, 7-Eleven, America's biggest fast-food hot dog seller, saw this as a declaration of war. What do kings know about hot dogs? Or America, for that matter? On the first day of BK's hot dog sales, we released 7-Eleven's Hot Dog Bill of Rights in local papers and demanded #HotDogDemocracy on our social channels and through paid media. The story took off through news outlets. And when Eater mentioned on their socials they're going to review the BK hotdog downtown, we waited for them with free 7-Eleven hot dogs outside. They declared us the winners. Or wieners. Long live democracy!
